What are the online features of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, and how do I play online?
Two players can join in "Battle Mode", where they alternate collecting Triforce pieces as Link. The player who is not Link tries to stop him by controlling three Phantom enemies. The player who has collected the most Triforce pieces at the end of three turns is the winner.

Important: You must first have a wireless connection to a highspeed (such as DSL, Cable, or a Hotspot) internet connection to access the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. If you have not already set up a connection, please click here to get started.

To start an online battle:

  1. On the Title Screen appears, touch the touch screen when prompted. Select a file to load, then select "Start."
  2. Select "Battle," then select "Nintendo WFC." Select "OK" to connect to the Nintendo WFC.
  3. Choose the type of opponent you want (Vs. Friend, Vs. Rival (N. America), Vs. Rival (Worldwide), Vs. Anyone (N. America), Vs. Anyone (Worldwide)).
  4. If you choose to compete against a Friend, select the Friend from your Friend Roster.
  5. The system will search for an opponent. When an opponent is found, the game will begin.

How do I play with a Friend online in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass?
To play against friends, you must first exchange Friend Codes. Please see the information in the section below for help on how to do this.

Once you have Friends Codes entered, select "Battle ," from the main menu, and then "Friend Battle."

The DS will search for other players from your Friend Roster who are waiting. Once connected, the battle will begin.

How do I get a Friend Code in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass?
In order to get a Friend Code, you must first connect to the Nintendo WFC service at least once with your The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass game.

Once you have connected at least once, you can access your Friend Code as follows:

  1. From the main screen, select "Battle."
  2. Select "Friend Roster."
  3. Your 10-digit Friend Code for The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass will be displayed.

How do I add a Friend Code to the Friends Roster in The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass?

  1. From the main screen, touch the touch screen when prompted. Select a file to load. Select a file to load, then select "Start."
  2. Select "Battle," then select "Friend Roster."
  3. Select "Register." Use the keyboard to enter the Friend Code, then select "OK" to confirm.
