Known Incompatible Wireless Routers (Wii)

In working with dozens of wireless routers, both here at Nintendo and with our consumers, we have determined the following wireless routers to likely be incompatible with some or all of the Wii's online features.

Please note that information on this page can change, as firmware updates by the router's manufacturer could become available that may allow a workable online connection for the Wii console.

The following routers have known compatibility issues with the Wii console:

Belkin
F5D6231-4 vers. 1000
F5D7230-4 vers. 4000
F5D8233-4 vers. 1022 (likely not compatible for playing against other players)

Wireless Routers/Gateways provided by Internet Service Providers
(such as Comcast, Time Warner, Road Runner, Charter, etc.):
If your wireless router was provided by your ISP, please read our special note if you are having difficulty connecting your Wii console online.
