Using the Game Boy Advance AC Adapter Set

Important Note:

This AC Adapter Set is only for use with the Game Boy Advance portable video game system. It is not compatible with the Game Boy Advance SP, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Pocket, or the original Game Boy.

Important Note: Always turn OFF the Power and disconnect the AC Adapter from the wall before removing it from the Game Boy Advance. Also, when you're not using your AC Adapter, be sure to flip the prongs back into the AC Adapter housing.

This set consists of two components:

AC Adapter: The AC Adapter plugs into a standard 120-volt AC wall outlet and the cord plugs into the External Power Supply Jack on the bottom of the DC Power Module.		DC Power Module: The DC Power Module plugs into the battery compartment of the Game Boy Advance.

Hookup Steps

1. Turn the Power OFF on your Game Boy Advance.
2. Remove the battery cover and batteries from your Game Boy Advance. Store your battery door in a safe place for later use.
3. Insert the DC Power Module into the battery compartment of the Game Boy Advance. This is the piece that looks like a battery cover. Be sure that both tabs are engaged in the housing before snapping the module into place.

   

4. Insert the DC Connector Plug into the External Power Supply jack at the base of the DC Power Module. The flat side with the dot should be facing down (which will be facing the front of the Game Boy Advance once you turn the Game Boy Advance over to play).

   

5. Flip the prongs out of the AC Adapter (the part that plugs into the wall outlet). Once they're out, you can plug it into a working power outlet.

   

6. Turn ON the Power switch to your Game Boy Advance.
