Game Boy Advance or Game Boy micro Wireless Adapter - Troubleshooting

 

Please note that only games displaying this icon on their packaging are compatible with the Game Boy Advance or Game Boy micro Wireless Adapter, with the exception of a select few games (Mario Golf: Advance Tour, and all multiplayer Classic NES games) that were released prior to the Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter's release. Please use the following troubleshooting steps for the Game Boy Advance or Game Boy micro Wireless Adapter:

  1. Make sure the game supports the wireless feature:
    Only games featuring the icon at the top of this page on their packaging (with the exception of Mario Golf: Advance Tour, and all multiplayer Classic NES games) are compatible with the Game Boy Advance or Game Boy micro Wireless Adapter.   2. Be sure you carefully follow all the instructions provided in the game manual for use of any Game Boy Advance Wireless features.
  3. Remove and reconnect the adapter:

    • If one of the units behaves as if the adapter isn't present (for example, the link features are not available), then the adapter and system should be sent in for repair. Select the system you are having difficulty with:
    • If both units appear to detect the adapter, but you still can't connect, continue using the troubleshooting below.
  4. Make sure the players are the proper distance from one another:
    • Players should be no farther than 10 feet apart.
    • Walls and other objects can interfere with the signal.
  5. Make sure there are no other wireless devices in the immediate area:
    Cordless phones, wireless computer devices, Nintendo GameCube Wavebird, and other devices can interfere with the signal.
